I'm impressed that the psp can actually produce such nice graphics...but why the heck aren't they making a full blown sequel?
Instead we get remake like this.

Feels weird.. Im not sure how to react. I'm not sure what the point is, from the looks of it we're just getting DoAX2's swimsuits again..I'm sure the self shadowing is gone..a lot of the cloth physics are gone.. the water caustics are gone..and the normal mapping is gone.. just... why?

That's because this is a port of a cell phone game that they made for Japanese cell phones. It's basically DoAX without the volleyball part. It's mainly focused on the relationship and gambling portions of DoAXV.

it looks like this game doesn't have any of the DOA models in it. everything seems to be hires sprites, with 2d games. the relationship part is probably something like a love sim you gift crap with the money you earn bleh bleh.. anyway this game looks like utter crap

The trees and backgrounds look like they are totally doable on PSP. The models look like DOAX models. I'm guessing these are just hi-res bullshots from Tecmo, like they used to release with every single Xbox game. The actual game with probably have a lower res, with lower quality assets.

If you look at certain areas, Hitomi looks a bit more defined, particularly the backs of her fingers, her knees, the bottoms of her feet, and her stomach deformation. Also, the backgrounds of the areas she is in look like garbage, so it's possible that it's realtime rendering. The trees look very low poly, and the water looks terrible. It's almost like they're sacrificing environment quality so the girls can look good. Also, the straphair is gone apparently.. they're probably using DoAU's hair physics. So we're essentially getting an XBox quality port of a cell phone game. If they're gonna milk the DOAX franchise, they may as well just give us what we asked for with the first game: nudity.

Well this is absolutely good news to me! because I've been having some financial problems for some time now, I can't afford an XBox 360, but I do have my PSP >:3... plus, if I get lazy to get all of the swimsuits myself, I could just get a 100% complete save file off of gamefaqs XD

EDIT: Oh wait, wait... since the launch of the PSP Go, new games will no longer come as a UMD format, right?... fuck.
